Tourism Information

A Warm Welcome to your Holiday in Derbyshire.

Our holiday properties are either close to the River Derwent, (a World Heritage Site) in the heart of the Amber Valley, just on the southern fringes of The Peak District National Park, or on the shores of Carsington Water in the Derbyshire Dales.

Whatever your age or interest, whether you have just a few hours or time to linger, we feel sure you will find something to please in Derbyshire. We are proud of our heritage and it is here that you can experience the landscape and architectural treasures that cradled the birth of Britain’s industrial revolution.

Many of our famous residents played important parts in the development of this Country. At the National Tramway Village we have one of the world’s largest collections of restored trams whilst the Midland Railway Centre has an interesting and varied railway collection.
