Self-catering Cottage near Carsington Water, Derbyshire

This fine courtyard of stone barns was part of a working farm. The barns have been sensitively converted to provide cottages of various sizes to suit every ones needs. There is a choice of shared leisure facilities including a swimming pool with changing rooms and sauna, spa facilities, games room (where Wi-fi is available), children’s playground and play field, and a function room which can be hired for social events and conferences.

Watersports feature prominently in the area and dinghies canoes and windsurfers can be hired at Carsington watersports centre. Day tickets are available for trout fishing including boat hire and cycle hire if required. Ramblers can take advantage of the many trails and all the striking scenery of the southern Peak National Park and there's a real-ale pub, with restaurant, serving good food, within easy walking distance.

Wirksworth is near, and Ashbourne (the Gateway to Dovedale) is five miles away. The country towns of Matlock, Buxton and Bakewell are easy to reach, Chatsworth is a short drive and children will love the Crich Tramway Village, Gulliver's Kingdom, cable cars at Matlock, Midland Railway Centre, and the ever-popular Alton Towers (25mins).
The nearest supermarket and garage is in Ashbourne or Matlock, Ashbourne is 5 miles away.
Nearest train station is at Cromford 5 miles away or there is Derby station which is 13 miles.

• This cottage has an open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, and microwave.
• There are laundry facilities including washing machine and tumble dryer in the laundry room on the site (coin operated).
• In the lounge there is a TV and DVD, with French doors opening out onto a patio with a bar be que available and play area.
• On the first floor there is a family bathroom with a shower tap over the bath.  Both bedrooms have zip and link beds so they can be double or twin bedded rooms.  One of the bedrooms has an en suite shower room.

Services at Callow
Rental includes bed linen, towels, use of the swimming pool, sauna and games room. The Internet is available in the games room and a cot, high chair and bar be que are available on request.
