There are lovely views from the door over the terraced garden, sheep paddock and valley. This idyllic location is near to the Peak District National Park and set within a Conservation Area which is full of character stone properties.

The hamlet of Milford has no fewer than 5 public houses in walking distance, some which serve food. Famously the Holly Bush Inn where Dick Turpin is reputed to have enjoyed many an ale has two open fires and serves the beer in jugs from the cellar.

Milford is one and a half miles from Belper and around 10 Miles from the market towns of Matlock, and Ashbourne. It is part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site and the cottage is in an area with numerous walks from the door. It is situated 7 miles from Crich Tramway Museum and village, 10 miles from Matlock Bath - Heights of Abraham cable cars and caves, 7 miles from the High Peak Trail and Black Rocks and 9 miles to Carsington Water and on the doorstep of the Peak District National Park.
